US stocks pre-market: Tesla rose 1.6%, cryptocurrency stocks rose, natural gas stocks rose sharply

The trade agreement between the United States and Europe supported market sentiment, but investors are still waiting for the Sino-US trade negotiations and this week's heavy earnings and economic data. Pre-market stocks e-commerce giant Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) rose 0.9% after Jefferies said the impact of comprehensive U.S. tariffs on the company is "currently overestimated" because it is still the "preferred" online mall for consumers. Technology giant Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) rose 0.2% after Bank of America pointed out that the company's third-quarter results were "difficult", tariffs put pressure on profit margins, and regulatory concerns lingered. Electric car manufacturer Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) rose 1.6% after the company signed a $16.5 billion chip foundry agreement with Samsung Electronics (KS:005930) . Cryptocurrency concept stocks rose, with Bit Digital rising 5%. Natural gas developers rose, with NextDecade (NASDAQ:NEXT) up 4.3%, Venture Global (NYSE:VG) up 5.9% and Cheniere Energy (NYSE:LNG) up 4.5% after the European Union pledged to buy $750 billion worth of liquefied natural gas over the next three years as part of a trade deal.
Sarepta (NASDAQ:SRPT) fell 1.4% after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was investigating the death of an 8-year-old Brazilian boy treated with the company's Elevidys. Sports brand Nike (NYSE:NKE) rose 4.1% after JPMorgan Chase upgraded its rating from "neutral" to "overweight" citing its optimistic outlook for a multi-year recovery. Telecommunications company Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) rose 0.06% after Bernstein upgraded its rating from "outperform" to "outperform" and expected more than 20% upside in the future. Celcuity LLC (NASDAQ:CELC) soared 215% after its breast cancer drug gedatolisib showed positive results in the third phase of the trial. The drug showed unprecedented efficacy in treating hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer. Boeing (NYSE:BA) rose 0.4% after Song Zhiyong, director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, met with Brandon Nelson, senior vice president of Boeing. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the development of cooperation between Boeing and China's civil aviation. ASML (NASDAQ:ASML) rose 3.8%, driven by the positive news of the US-EU tariff agreement.
KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF (NYSE: KWEB) was flat. Zai Lab (NASDAQ: ZLAB) rose 3.6% after its peer Hengrui Medicine and GSK reached a potential $12.5 billion combination licensing agreement. Hengrui Medicine's Hong Kong stocks rose more than 24%, leading the Hong Kong stocks of innovative drug concept stocks to strengthen. In addition, Jefferies Group analyst Michael Yee maintained Zai Lab's buy rating and maintained a target price of $50. Other markets European stocks rose and fell. Asia-Pacific stocks rose and fell. The US dollar index rose 0.55% to 98.19, standing above the 98 mark during the day. Spot gold prices fell 0.27% to $3,328.32 per ounce. Bitcoin prices rose 0.65% to $118,883.9.
